Life in Focus

today

I'm headed out to physical therapy for a long, intense session.  I'm working hard every day to get full mobility back to my knee but it seems to be such a slow process and I'm not very patient.  I'm definitely learning to take it one day at a time and celebrate small successes. 

I'm going to surprise the receptionist with this happy little flower, just because I know it will make her smile...and I happen to love giving random, fun surprises to people who least expect it!  The snow here is deep and heavy and we have overcast skies so I'm sure this little cutie will bring sunshine to her day.

I'll be stopping by the scrapbook store on my way home for a dose of inspiration and maybe a little treat for myself too!

Today

I'm in catch up mode after an extremely busy week of work, kids activities, and everyday life.

I almost completely forgot that I had this little blog space!  Yikes!

I finally got my fridge and pantry stocked and happy that tomorrow's lunch won't be pb&j.

I'm looking at snow but thinking about summer vacation and planning some fun adventures.

I had a nice impromptu lunch and visit with my mom and dad (club sandwich..yum.)

I've crossed almost everything off my to do list but still need to exercise and stretch my knee.

I found out that my new online class with Big Picture will be up and running very soon. Hooray!

I'm getting excited about hearts and chocolate and crafting some fun holiday goodies.

I have over 500 (just printed) photos sitting on my desk inspiring me to tell stories.

I'm  making shrimp and broccoli for dinner.

I need to attend "college night" at the high school and I'm wondering why time must rush by so quickly.

I'm reading and enjoying The Happiness Project.

I'm listening to a sweet little bird chirp a beautiful song outside my window.

the sun is trying hard to peek through the clouds.

I'm finding inspiration everywhere.

I'm planning birthday surprises.

my house is a well loved and lived in mess.

I'm pushing through the pain of physical therapy.

my puppy is following me wherever I go.

I'm longing for a hike in the woods.

I'm making salmon for dinner.

I need to go to the grocery store.

it feels so good to walk without a brace.

I'm taking a deep breath.

I'm grateful for this ordinary day.

setting up my studio for a handmade holiday.

making lots of lists.

cooking a big pot of turkey rice soup.

creating my December Daily book.

folding a ton of laundry.

waiting to find out if I need surgery on my knee.

listening to some of my favorite Christmas music.

delighted with the gift that I just finished for my niece.

working on my newest class for BPS, The Mirror Project.

looking at our decorated tree twinkling in the light.

ready for the fun and tradition that this season brings.
