On a recent excursion to my local scrapbook store, I discovered these beauties! Have you seen all the wonderful designs from graphic 45 lately?? There were so many beautiful papers that I had such a hard time choosing which ones to get (so I think I got most of what they had!) They inspire me and make me happy so I'll be spending some quality time playing with them and can't wait to see what they become. I'll be sure to share next week!

I'm headed out to physical therapy for a long, intense session. I'm working hard every day to get full mobility back to my knee but it seems to be such a slow process and I'm not very patient. I'm definitely learning to take it one day at a time and celebrate small successes.
I'm going to surprise the receptionist with this happy little flower, just because I know it will make her smile...and I happen to love giving random, fun surprises to people who least expect it! The snow here is deep and heavy and we have overcast skies so I'm sure this little cutie will bring sunshine to her day.
I'll be stopping by the scrapbook store on my way home for a dose of inspiration and maybe a little treat for myself too!
Today I hope you find a way to treat yourself, surprise someone else, and have a happy day!

I have a big stack of freshly printed photos on my desk.....
and a big stack of inspiring goodies in front of me.
Today I'm telling stories, playing with paper and glue, and feeling grateful.
Today the sun is shining.

The past several days have been a whirlwind of activity in our household but we've had a lot of fun...
playing in the snow and building snow dog houses for a sweet little corgi (who happily explores and plays right along with us.)
spending lots of time in the kitchen baking...there's no shortage of sugary sweets here!
finding many reasons to celebrate the day including a Mardi Gras progressive dinner! There were 4 stops and 4 amazingly yummy courses, along with good company and plenty of laughter.
The kids loved the coins, beads, and masks everywhere.
I loved the King Cake...simply YUM!

My new class at Big Picture opened up for registration! It's called The Mirror Project and it was so much fun to create! Here's a little more about it:
What does she see when she looks in the mirror? Real beauty.
It is about so much more than a person's physical features. The "stuff" that we're made of inside is what really matters. This concept is so important: it has the power to transform young girls of today into strong, confident and happy women of tomorrow. If you have a young lady in your life, you have a wonderful opportunity to help her see and understand her real beauty and feel great about who she is in the process.
Not only is this a fun way to spend creative play time, but the end result is a powerful and inspiring message about "real beauty" that will last a lifetime.
Want to know more? Go here and listen in.
Have a beautiful day!

Today we woke up to a beautiful surprise...lots and lots of snow covering the ground and a day off from school and work. So far, our day has been a nice mixture of relaxation, play, and a smidgen of productivity. With Valentine's Day this weekend, my daughter has had big plans to do something special for her friends. We decided that this snowy day was the perfect day to spend time crafting from the heart!
So, we dug out some fabric....
and got to work on sewing some fun fabric bracelets full of love.

I'm in catch up mode after an extremely busy week of work, kids activities, and everyday life.
I almost completely forgot that I had this little blog space! Yikes!
I finally got my fridge and pantry stocked and happy that tomorrow's lunch won't be pb&j.
I'm looking at snow but thinking about summer vacation and planning some fun adventures.
I had a nice impromptu lunch and visit with my mom and dad (club sandwich..yum.)
I've crossed almost everything off my to do list but still need to exercise and stretch my knee.
I found out that my new online class with Big Picture will be up and running very soon. Hooray!
I'm getting excited about hearts and chocolate and crafting some fun holiday goodies.
I have over 500 (just printed) photos sitting on my desk inspiring me to tell stories.
I'm making shrimp and broccoli for dinner.
I need to attend "college night" at the high school and I'm wondering why time must rush by so quickly.
I'm reading and enjoying The Happiness Project.
I'm glad that you stopped by. :)
